As AdBlue® becomes more established each particular car manufacturer has produced their own particular guidelines when it comes to what their customers need to do to keep their cars on the road and AdBlue® full.
How Much AdBlue® do you need? >
Peugeot recommends that the AdBlue® in their new cars and vans should be topped up approx every 12,500 miles. It should be noted however that many drivers are reporting their AdBlue® tank has had to be refilled much sooner and it seems the amount of AdBlue® used is very much dependent on your driving style (ie, if you drive like a real person or a robot).
Peugeot’s guidelines say that “If the tank needs to be topped up, the AdBlue® warning light will come on when you switch on the ignition. You should arrange to have it topped up as soon as possible, but it will display a message letting you know how many more miles you can drive before the vehicle will not restart”.
“For example ‘Top Up Emissions Additive: Starting prevented in 900 miles’. While you’re driving the message will be displayed every 150 miles until the AdBlue® has been topped up.If you wish to refill the AdBlue® fluid yourself, it is important to ensure that the engine is switched off and that the vehicle is on a flat surface. Please refer to the Vehicle Handbook to find the location of the AdBlue® tank.”

Please note most Peugeot AdBlue® tanks are situated in the boot of the car / van.
